Welcome to the 'Spice Fan's 2001' site- when we make changes to the site we will post details here.  Or when we get extremely frustrated with the server we shall tell you of our problems.

Any comments which we think that we should share will be posted here.  Also, special thanks, competitions and future plans for the site will ALWAYS be posted here.

Finished! Face Off... [Revised Post]

There ya have it everyone!  The new site design is un-veiled!  I hope that you love it as much as I do!  It has taken me a while.  There are already a lot of benefits to the new design, and I am sure that you can name quite a lot already!  Well, things will continue to improve in terms of loading time, and speed.  I have still got a ibt to sort out, so please bear with me! :-)

I have spent hours trying and testing the new design.  So, if there are any problems I would really like to know about them, so that I can amend them. 

Also in the pipeline for the site:

1.        Various new pages including a site design page.  I have been working on around three other new pages which I hope to unveil sometime after March.

2.        Three/Four New People will be joining me soon!  I have spent the last four weeks looking for potential webmasters.  I am still processing over 35 applications!  So, if you would like to have a go at joining the team, pop me an e-mail to SPICEFAN@37.com and I will get back to you!  The deadline is within the next week, as I really would like to move onto the second round of selection!

In the meantime, I am aiming to keep all the latest news posted, post all your reviews, moderate the boards and chat, and also have my life! phew....  The new people will be joining me in March, so I think I might have a party! hehe...

P.S      Thanks to my m8 for doing the buttons on the new site design (I will be experimenting with graphics!) and thanks to Ben for the site's current logo... but the logo competition goes on!  [Read further down this page for details].  Some good stuff has come in and even if your doesn't win, it will be incorporated in a cool new page...

P.P.S     Yes, it is true there is a lot of secretive stuff going on @ the site @ the moment, stay tuned as we unveil new plans/ideas/people and surprises!

Changing Faces

It feels extremely odd posting this message only two weeks after the launch.  After much consideration I have decided that the look of the site is not quite on par with the Excellent Spice Girl sites out there.  Design wise anyway!

The content is of a good standard [as indicated by your e-mails].  However, there are various other comments that can be made, by both you and I about the Site Design.  This has provoked me to do a lot of thinking on a Site Re-design.

As you can already see, I have experimented with 'Inline Frames' on the News Pages with success.  This is a popular method of controlling files and also allows better control over the site.

I have therefore taken the following action:

• Re-Designed The Site
• Practised with Inline Framing
• Changed Fonts- I have heard that not all of you are viewing the site to it's best capacity. :(

I am going to:

• Move the content of current site design over to new one.
• Add a 'Site Design' Page to the new site.
• Make Picture Files Faster To Load.
• Change Fonts/ Styles
• Continue with getting the latest news for you!

I am hoping that this move will be done as soon as possible, with the upload being later this month, early next month.  If there are any further ideas about how I could improve my site design or systems I would like to hear from you all ( SPICEFAN@37.com ).  I hope that the upload takes less than three hours, but am inclined to check everything over before I upload. 

News will continue to be posted as and when required on the site as it is, and by no means is the site closed.

Lots of things are still going on promotion wise to and I am hoping to see improvements statistically very soon!

Once on the new site design, lots of new features are going to become available to the visitors, and Spiceworld is gonna keep on jiving!  I am enjoying your logo entries, keep them coming!

Hey Melanie C btw, Happy 28th Birthday this week! :)  Hope you had a cracker!  A big thanks to #PIRCHPOPUPS people for help with site promotion (Particularly Shirley)    . :)

I am going to see Atomic Kitten in March, and I can't wait- I'll let you know all about it!  For now, I have school work and site stuff to do!  Cya...

Logo Competition

As mentioned below I would love to have a gr8 logo for the site!  I have created one of my own, which can be seen on the Links page (it is a banner; which you can place on your site).  I thought that it would be nice to ask for the visitors ideas, and so that you to can have an input.  The logo must be of a reasonable size- and be of a small file size.

• ALL entries must be in by April 1st, 2002.  (N.B. Unless otherwise changed)

• The Winner- Well you get your logo on the site, and I will give you your own page, which you can tell me what you want on it...  Also, you may have the opportunity to create other graphics for the site.

Note:     Please use a current Spice Girls image, along with the text:  SPICE.FANS 2K

ALSO...      If you also have FLASH- Then you would be welcome to create an intro for the site.  Similar to the logo winner (which may be the flash creator to), you would get your own page, and also more opportunities on the site.

The Plan

Hello All!  Paul here!  WOW!  The site is now officially launched, and it's time to post the news!  It has literally taken me hours to design and co-ordinate my first web page.  I was determined that I would put something out that I could be happy with, and I have.

The main news section has the latest news from the Spice Camp.  It took me ages to get a design which meant I could easily import news files!

All the other pages are also running smoothly, and it is worth taking a look at all the pages.

I decided that I would lay out some aims for the site, as to better itself:

1.     Soon there will be new pages, including a vote page, quiz page and a Lyrics page.

2.     I will embark on a web promotional tour- promoting the site!

3.     I will have a logo competition for the site's logo very soon. (This will probably be a new post very soon).

4.     I will have an 'Extra's' page where there will be wallpapers etc. and other surprises!

If there is anything else that you would like to see in this site, click on the link below which will inform you on how to contact me.  I will reply via e-mail, but I may also post something on THIS page or the About page, so that I don't get asked that question again.
